Where you can ride

Self-guided routes from Guilin

Seven mapped routes leave from our Guilin shop, and two of them run all the way to Yangshuo. Every one is graded, measured and off the highways — you get the distance, the climbing and the steepest pitch before you decide, not after.

Navigation that works in China

Each route ships as a .GPX file for your Garmin, Wahoo or head unit, and as an Amap (高德地图) guide route. Amap is the navigation app that actually carries China's road data and live traffic — download the English-language Amap Global app before you fly, and we send the route links with your booking confirmation.

Before you book

Guilin rental questions

What brands of ebikes are available for rent?

Most local small rental shops only provide heavy domestic commuter e-bikes built for daily transport. However, professional cycling tour operators provide actual premium carbon fiber electric mountain bikes for a multi-day tour. Our advanced ebike rental fleet includes high-performance models like the Amflow, Specialized Turbo Levo, Cannondale Moterra, and Trek Fuel EXe. These lightweight, premium vehicles are specially engineered for trail riding, ensuring maximum comfort and reliability during an extensive backcountry ebike tour.

Do rental gravel bikes come with specialized tires?

Most local bike shops do not have ready-made gravel configurations, but our specialized company has them fully available for your ebike tour. If you book carbon road or electric options in advance, our mechanics can refit them with wider gravel rims and tires. The tire width can be modified to 32c or 36c, which is perfectly suited for mixed-surface routes and loose dirt tracks during longer multi-day tours across southern China.

Can I install my own pedals and saddle?

For riders booking a full-suspension ebike rental for our multi-day e-bike tours, equipment customization is fully supported. Please inform our team of your preferred clipless pedal style before placing your order, as we normally maintain various options in stock. If we do not have your exact type, you are welcome to bring your own clip pedals and saddle. Simply note your specific technical needs on the request form in advance to ensure a perfect ebike tour setup.

What is the real-world battery climbing range?

We offer two distinct models of e-bikes for multi-day tours: the DJI Amflow and the Phoenix. Both battery systems function exceptionally well in hot weather, supporting a real-world riding range spanning from 80 to over 100 kilometers. However, battery power drains faster in cold winter conditions. The premium Amflow performs significantly better on steep mountain climbs, while the Phoenix handles roughly 90 kilometers with 600–700 meters of elevation gain on an ebike tour.

How do guided tours handle mid-day battery charging?

Our guided multi-day tours incorporate strategic rest stops, small village shops, and lunch breaks along the route. Our professional ebike tour guides actively monitor fleet battery levels and arrange quick charging if your power runs low deep in the countryside. For our latest DJI Amflow ebike rental models, convenient battery swapping is also available. To completely eliminate range anxiety, it is best to charge your bike during lunchtime whenever infrastructure permits.

Will the 25 km/h motor cap be annoying?

All our premium ebike rental vehicles are factory hard-capped at a 25 km/h limit in strict compliance with national traffic laws. The motor will automatically cut off power assistance once you exceed this speed, following the exact same regulatory framework as European Union e-bikes. While this may feel slow on long, flat paved roads, we intentionally design our multi-day e-bike tours to mix backcountry trails and quiet lanes, where you can always pedal harder.

Do operators offer an RTR technical briefing?

Yes, premium operators offer a comprehensive "Ride, Tech, and Repair" (RTR) pre-ride briefing before setting off into the mountains. Our team will walk you through specific motor and battery systems to ensure safe operation during a multi-day tour. You will learn that the Phoenix and Amflow models have completely different operation modes. The Amflow is better for long-distance, challenging climbs, while the Phoenix is ideal for casual, flat road ebike tour itineraries.

Are fully waterproof panniers provided with rentals?

Please inform our staff of your required touring bags before commencing your ebike rental. We provide a wide array of specialized accessories completely free of charge upon advance reservation for longer multi-day tours. Our inventory includes fully waterproof front and rear pannier bags (four in total), top tube bags, handlebar storage bags, and secure phone holders. Marking your needs clearly on the booking form ensures you survive sudden monsoon downpours during your ebike tour.

Are smart-assist electronic systems reliable in mud?

Many international riders successfully rent our premium carbon smart e-bikes for demanding trail conditions. Our flagship DJI Amflow ebike rental vehicles feature an advanced IP56 waterproof and dustproof system, ensuring the electronic system works reliably on wet, muddy trails. The motor and battery ports are well-sealed against heavy splashes and mud during our multi-day e-bike tours. You should simply avoid high-pressure water washing on the electric components after completing your daily ebike tour stage.

Can non-riding partners ride in support vehicles?

You are welcome to bring non-riding family members on multi-day tours, though extra costs may apply. Our long-distance group itineraries ensure enough comfortable seats are arranged in the support van alongside spare parts. Our daily schedule combines cycling, hiking, and outdoor sightseeing, stopping every 10 to 20 kilometers for photos and meals. Family members can join the whole journey comfortably while your ebike rental fleet receives active tracking and mechanical support.
